Dear Members:

The American Reform Party held it's 2003 Convention on the 29th and 30th of November 2003 at the Hilton Hotel in Hasbrook Heights New Jersey.

The election of National Chairman Roy Downing, Vice Chairman Denise Richardson, Secretary Bettyjean Kling, Vice Secretary Frank Rodas, Treasurer Louise Downing and George Hartwig,Vice Treasurer were elected and three appointments were made and approved for Standing Committees. The Standing Committees were, the Outreach Chair Richard Kling, the Correspondence Chair Don Torgersen and Louise Dansereau Credentialing Chair.

The new officers and appointments will take effect on January 1, 2004

It was noted that our policy is to recognize State chapters who are up and running and those that are in the process of forming and to accept those States as affiliates when they apply to us for affiliation and present the necessary paperwork.

There are three States that are forming now. They are Kansas, Maryland and Ohio. We are looking forward to their affiliation.

The Independent Party of New York is discussing the possibility of affiliating with the American Reform Party.

The discussions ranged from the history of the ARP to the future of our party and ideas were exchanged about whom to support in the coming presidential election.

Of course we were all in agreement that we will support Independents everywhere, who agree too at least 90% with our platform and Constitution.
