Dear Candidate:
Visitors to our website, including our members, often ask, "How do you go about endorsing candidates? Can I have my favorite candidate endorsed by the American Reform Party? What do you use for criteria?"
One of the tools we use is a list of questions based upon our Party Platform.
Candidates for public office in any part of the United States, at any level of government, can request our endorsement by submitting the online ARP Endorsement Questionnaire to our Electoral Strategy Special Committee for evaluation.
The ESSC then evaluates the responses (and any other documents, e.g. bios, resumes, military/government service records, etc.) and makes a detailed recommendation to our National Chair, who then puts the question to our National Committee as a motion to endorse. If the motion receives a majority approval, the Party Secretary is then directed to send an official letter of endorsement to the candidate.
In addition, a public announcement/press release is made, including publication of the endorsement on this website, and any other public media source the candidate may feel is beneficial to the campaign.
If you are a candidate for public office (or know of one) seeking the endorsement of the American Reform Party, please complete our online ARP Endorsement Questionnaire.
Your responses to the questionnaire will not be made public unless you add your permission to do so at the bottom of the completed questionnaire.
You do not have to be a member of the American Reform Party (but it wouldn't hurt) or any other political party to gain the endorsement of the ARP.
You just have to be the kind of person who favors a big piece of our ARP Platform.
