Resolutions were forwarded to Governor Christine Whitman, Clerk of the New Jersey Senate, Clerk of the New Jersey Assembly, State Department of Education, and also to their local Senator and Assembly persons, New Jersey State League of Municipalities and New Jersey Conference of Mayors.

Resolutions from the following Municipalities and Boards of Education supporting placement of a question on the November ballot to ascertain public sentiment for a Constitutional Amendment to Remove School Taxes from Real Property Taxes:

Clifton, Closter, Fort Lee, Saddle Brook, Little Ferry, Guttenberg, Helmetta, Green, Watchung, Edison Upper Freehold Township, Keyport, Somers Point, Township of Monroe, Township of Washington, North Plainfield, Sayreville, Totowa, Sea Bright, Township of Lebanon City of North Wildwood

Boards Of Education:

Clementon, Fairfield, Pinelands Regional, Bradley Beach, Clifton. Lodi, Frelinghuysen Farmingdale

If you agree with your fellow Municipalities, please adopt a similar resolution.


HOW TO DO IT

STEP 1:  Write a Letter:  You Can Use this copy of the Supreme Court ordered judicial relief in three areas: parity funding, supplemental programs and facilities needs - Abbott Decision

STEP 2:  Send A Resolution for the Ballot:  Click here for a template of the resolution that you may use.

STEP 3:  Sign Petition:  Our voices will be heard Click Here To Print Out The Petition.

Please mail a copy of your resolution to the other Municipalities in your County as well as all legislators.
